General Program

Persons subject to - Locally provided policyholders, Employer provided policyholders, the dependents aged 20 or more, persons eligible for medical care aged between 19 and 64.
ㆍOnce every two years, but annually for non-official workers

Common Test Items Details & Inspection Areas
1. Consultation, Physical Measurement(Height, Weight, Waist Circumference, Body Mass Index), Vision, Hearing, Blood Pressure
2. AST(SGOT), ALT(SGPT), Gamma-GTP
3. Fasting Blood Sugar
4. Proteinuria,Creatinine, Hemoglobin, Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate(eGFR)
5. Chest X-ray
6. Oral
1. Dyslipidemia(Total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, LDL Cholesterol, Triglyceride)
* Male aged 24 or more, Female aged 40 or more, once every 4 years
2. Hepatitis B (only for the aged 40 or more, excluding carriers and persons with immunity)
3. Plaque (aged 40)
4. Osteoporosis (Female aged 54 and 66)
5. Mental Health_Depression (Aged 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70)
6. Lifestyle (Aged 40, 50, 60, and 70)
7. Physical Function of the Elderly (Aged 66, 70, and 80)
8. Cognitive Impairment (aged 66 or more, Once every 2 years)

Cost-bearing: No Personal Deductable
1. Provided Policyholders: Full covered by NHIS, 2. Persons Eligible for Medical Care: Fully covered by National/Local Government
※ However, if you add an inspection item other than the specified item in the confirmation test, you will incur out-of-pocket costs.

Cancer Screening

Gastric Cancer Gastric CancerThose aged 40 and more, must take gastric endoscopy once every 2 years regardless of whether there are symptoms. (When having difficulty taking endoscopy, it can be substituted with UGI(Upper Gastrointestinograpy) )
· Subjects who are exempted calculation for gastric cancer are suspended from this test. (but additional registration for the test is possible when the subject wishes)
Colorectal Cancer Those aged 50 and more, must take FOBT(fecal occult blood test) once every year. If the result of FOBT is positive, the subject should take colorectal endoscopy. (When having difficulty taking endoscopy, it can be substituted with double-contrast radiography)
· Subjects who are exempted calculation for colorectal cancer or the examinee of colorectal endoscopy of national colorectal examination are suspended from this test for 5 years. (but additional registration for the test is possible when the subject wishes)
Liver Cancer Those aged 40 and more and included in risk group for liver cancer as mentioned below must take liver ultrasonography and blood test ( serum alpha fetoprotein test) twice a year (every 6 months)
· Subjects who are exempted calculation for liver cancer are suspended from this tesst. (but additional registration for the test is possible when the suject wishes)
Risk group for liver cancer · Insurance benefits of past 2 years of given year include any items of risk group for liver cancer (Cirrhosis, Positive of hepatitis B antigen, Positive of hepatitis C antibodies, Chronic liver disease patient infected by hepatitis B or C viruses)
· Those who got positive of hepatitis B surface antigen or positive of hepatitis C antibodies from the general health examination results of any past years

Breast Cancer
Those women aged 40 and more must take mammography once every 2 years. Subjects who are exempted calculation for breast cancer are suspended for this test. (but additional registration for the test is possible when the subect wishes)

Cervical Cancer Those women aged 20 and more must take Pap smear once every 2 years. Subjects who are exempted calculation for cervical cancer are suspended from this test. (but additional registration for the test is possible when the subject wishes)
· Cautio: Those who had hysterectomy or have no sexual experience, please consult your examination doctor in advance.

Cost-bearing : NHIS 90%, Examinee 10% (Bu, colorectal cancer & Pap smear are fully covered by NHIS)
※ Subjects of national cancer examination program and persons eligible for medical care have no personal deductable ※NHIS checkup program period : Jan. 1 ~ Dec. .31/Every year

Medical benefited life-changing period examination

Gastric Cancer · Subjects of the medical benefited life-changing period examination are those eligible for medical care aged 66 and more and they will be designated as subjects every other year. · (Common Items) Consultation, Counseling, Height, Weight, Waist measurement, Body mass index(BMI), Vision, Hearing · (Optional Items by gender and age) Osteoporosis(F/at age 66), Mental health_Depression(at age 70), Life style assessment(at age 70), Elderly physical function test(at age 66, ·70, ·80), Cognitive impairment test(at age 66 and thereafter once in 2 years) · Cost-bearing : No personal deductable. Fully covered by National/Local government · · Examination period : Jan..1 ~ Dec..31/Every year Medical benefited life-changing period examination mainly consists of optional items, therefore it you miss the given years examination, it is not allowed to additionally apply in the following year.
